I remember meeting the music composer and the creator of this game at the casual games conference a couple months ago. I meant to check it out but never got around to it. Tonight I was bored and found it for free on gametap. The story is cute, and I like that it’s a female protagonist. The dialoge in the beginning struck me as pretty corny, but I guess I’ve gotten used to it. Although the story so far hasn’t done anything too out of the ordinary, it has taken a couple turns I didn’t expect. It doesn’t follow the stereotypical old school RPG narrative that I expected. Plus, It’s free. Try it.
cute 16-bit indie game
the 360-degree video of the room is very cool.

Brett McGibbon earns his living by selling (and signing) his self published, self printed books around Seattle. None of the local bookstores will carry him. His books are printed on his laser printer, then leather bound by hand. He told me he’s sold 12,000 in seven years. He sells downtown on Pike near the convention center, and in capital hill outside of Broadway news. He also offers his books online, but says no one buys them that way. His website is linked from the pic.

Lush berries are the dominant flavors in this wine, with a bit of earthiness and spice thrown in. Nice round tannins with a long smooth finish.
